I am Steffi

I am a movement artist and facilitator for bodywork and creative practice. Movement has always been my home – a space that connects. In this space, I accompany people in coming into contact through movement – with themselves, with others, and with the present moment. At the heart of my work lies the nonverbal dialogue that bodies engage in when they move together.

more about me

My path began with gymnastics and led me through ballet, handball, capoeira, and yoga β€” and at some point, movement became my language. Early on, especially through my experience in Shinson Hapkido, I understood that movement is more than technique or physical control. I also had early experiences with meditation β€” the quiet observing, the listening inward, the sensing of subtle impulses. These experiences have shaped my practice to this day: movement as a path of awareness, as an encounter between body, breath, and attention.

During my studies in Social Work with a focus on psychomotricity, I began to explore this connection theoretically and to pass it on in practice. My understanding deepened especially during my pregnancies and the time afterward β€” through Feldenkrais and body-oriented therapeutic approaches that helped me listen more closely, sense more deeply, and trust more fully. During this time, I started practicing yoga; shortly afterward came AcroYoga and Contact Improvisation.
Two forms that keep my work alive to this day. Back then, my life was colorful β€” studies, single motherhood, work, movement, all at the same time. And perhaps that is exactly why my work is the way it is today: playful, vibrant, chaotic, beautiful β€” and deeply human.

I have learned to laugh at myself, to enjoy life, and to welcome lightness β€” as quiet companions that carry, connect, and keep the dance of life moving. I love the unplanned, the genuine, the fleeting moment. Sometimes I fall, sometimes I fly β€” both are part of the dance of life.

πŸ’« Movement is, for me, language, practice, and encounter all at once β€” a path on which body, awareness, and presence become one.

Movement Art Forms – Movement Fields

PARTNERING & CONTACT

Partnering is embodied intelligence:** listening, responding, sharing weight, using momentum. We explore the subtle dialogues between bodies β€” sometimes in pairs, sometimes in trios, sometimes filling the whole room. Dynamic games, organic lifts, shared balance, improvised problem-solving, and the trust to be led or to lead. A moving dialogue that nurtures presence and connection.

ACROYOGA

AcroYoga combines dynamic partner work with a mindful body practice. We train solar elements (strength, balance, flow) and lunar elements (Thai & Fly, Thai yoga massage, regulation). Carrying, flying, listening β€” a space where connection, awareness, and joy take center stage. Suitable for beginners and for anyone wishing to deepen their foundations.”

MOVE INTO LIFE

A weekly online space for reflection, conversation, and inner movement. We meet live in a small group, share with one another, sort through our thoughts, and work in a process-oriented way with whatever is present in the moment. A held space for growth, awareness, and connection.

HANDBALANCE

Handbalancing is a practice of clarity and attention. We explore how the body organizes itself in an inverted position β€” through strength, stability, and subtle alignment. At the center are balance, body awareness, and playful curiosity. We work with fundamental handstand principles, simple shapes, and transitions between the floor and balance. It’s not about perfection but about understanding: How does the body support itself? How do we find stability? How does ease arise? Handbalancing becomes a space of exploration β€” for presence, focus, and the joy of being upside down.

MOVEMENT FLOW

Movement Flow is at the heart of my work: a space for organic movement, spirals, rolls, transitions, and the flow between floor, bodies, and space. We work with floorwork, locomotion, spirals, weight & momentum, with objects such as sticks, balls, bands, and with whatever emerges in the moment. It is a research-based practice β€” soft, curious, clearly guided, and open to creative solutions.

It’s about experiencing movement as a language, listening to impulses, and exploring your own patterns. A space where technique and intuition meet β€” open, vibrant, and in flow.

SOMATIC PRACTICE

We work with somatic bodywork, Thai yoga massage, weight, the floor, and mindful touch β€” a field in which the nervous system can settle, patterns can soften, and movement can arise more naturally.
Less technique β€” more perception. A space for presence, grounding, and subtle connection β€” with yourself and with others.

MOVEMENT ART

Movement is more than training for me.
It is expression, dialogue, and living exploration. Movement Art weaves together elements from partnering and contact work, soft acro, floorwork, handbalancing, locomotion, movement flow, and somatic bodywork. From this diversity emerges a space where strength and lightness, structure and intuition, individuality and community can meet.

Here, it’s about meeting each other through movement β€” about bringing bodies and hearts into resonance, breathing together, listening, sensing. Movement becomes a language that creates connection β€” between people, moments, and possibilities. In this practice, different movement approaches merge into a dynamic, intuitive, and playful field. A space where we learn, explore, fail, laugh, and grow β€” solo, in duos, trios, and groups. Held by curiosity, contact, and togetherness.”

I train mobility, strength, endurance, coordination, reflexes, trust, letting go, falling, and getting back up β€” all embedded in playfulness and creativity. A practice that strengthens, grounds, and at the same time brings lightness. For more self-confidence, calm, presence, and vitality in everyday life. Movement Art fosters body awareness, resilience, and connection. And invites everyone to join in the movement.

A research space in which movement becomes a dialogue β€” between bodies, awareness, and the moment itself.

You decide how deep you want to go.
